Back in 2023, during the festive season, our Christmas Markets at Impact Hub Yerevan and Impact Hub Gyumri were more than just showcases of local talent and creativity — they became a catalyst for positive impact.
Thanks to the participating organizations, 20% of their registration fees contributed to a meaningful cause: raising 270,000 AMD toward a special initiative.
That initiative was the creation of a Media Literacy Corner at Impact Hub Syunik — a space designed to empower local youth and social entrepreneurs with essential media literacy and digital skills. The funds helped us purchase the first computers for the space, bringing us one step closer to our goal of raising 1,800,000 AMD.
We’re excited to share that, thanks to the generous support of Impact Hub Armenia and individual donors, the Media Literacy Corner is now a reality — offering free access to computer and media education in Syunik.
In our very first training cycle, over 20 young people from different communities across the Syunik region took part in the “Fundamentals of Digital Literacy” course. Over the span of one month, they explored a wide range of topics — from using Google tools and Canva to video editing and beyond.
This is a long-term program, delivered in multiple cycles each year for new groups. Participants get the chance to learn from top professionals and gain practical, real-world skills they can apply in both daily life and future jobs.
We’re proud to announce that the first cycle of the course has officially concluded — and the second cycle is launching soon!
